Through our Sustainability & Women Empowerment Initiative, SAUM Global Foundation brings together women from rural and tribal communities to create garments and accessories using upcycled, handwoven, and naturally dyed fabrics.

  What began as a small initiative to train women in crochet and knitting evolved into a sustainable garment cluster program, linking traditional craft with modern design thinking.

Our artisans now work with ethical fashion partners and conscious labels to create handcrafted textiles, crochet pieces, and capsule garments — all made from repurposed or responsibly sourced materials.

From village workshops to urban boutiques, each product is a reflection of circular economy in action — slow, soulful, and socially responsible.

Our Goal

To build India’s largest network of women-led sustainable garment clusters — making fashion a source of empowerment, not exploitation.

Our long-term goals include:

• Engaging 5,000+ women artisans by 2030.

• Setting up 30+ circular textile units for upcycled production.

• Reducing fabric waste by 50% within associated partner communities.

• Showcasing SAUM-supported artisan products in national & global exhibitions.

Our goal is to prove that sustainability is not a trend — it’s a way to rebuild economies, one handcrafted piece at a time.
